“We recommend that everyone get their flu shot every year. If you haven’t already gotten your flu shot this fall, now is the perfect time to do so, while keeping up to date on your flu shots. COVID-19,” said El Dorado County Immunization Coordinator Carole Hodge-Little.
Those most at risk for flu complications are those under age 5 or over age 65, who are pregnant or have chronic health conditions, the county said.
There were 36 flu deaths statewide as of Oct. 2.
